A non-human who was once a candidate for the next king and was made immortal during childhood while being treated for an illness caused by magical power.

His exact species is unknown, but he is a type of vampire.

Originally, he was the first prince of a kingdom that flourished thousands of years ago, and considering the king’s age, he was regarded as the leading candidate to become the next king.

Because he was the king’s son and the eldest child, noble etiquette was thoroughly instilled in him, and his movements, such as when eating, are extremely elegant.

However, from a young age he possessed an enormous amount of magical power

Due to a constitution where the accumulation speed of magical power is abnormally fast while its release is extremely slow, magical power that should normally overflow continued to remain inside his body.

Furthermore, the Paranoyd family’s unique constitution of high magical capacity and high efficiency compounded the problem, and 450 years of excessive accumulation accelerated the progression of the illness.

As a result, he developed a disease caused by magical power, and because of it his five senses were gradually lost while his body continued to weaken.

There was also a forbidden technique that burns magical power to draw out strength from the future, but his blood would not even use that as fuel, and he was not yet at an age where it could be used.

However, he himself still strongly wished, “I want to live.”

As a result, a long and painful treatment began.

For the sake of treatment, he was temporarily turned immortal.

Originally, before becoming accustomed to the sensation of immortality, he would undergo rehabilitation for both his magical power and body,

then offer prayers to a certain goddess who had long been worshipped in the kingdom, and through the power of her blessing, his immortality would be lifted.

Just before the rehabilitation began, the kingdom was attacked by an army of several hundred thousand human vampire hunters.

That day, the sun lasted long and the sky was strangely clear.

Upon hearing this, he became frightened, slipped out of the facility, and ran to the scene, not caring even if his own body burned.

Ironically, his strong will to live began to eat away at his body.

His skin was continuously burned, yet at the same time it regenerated at a bizarre speed.

Fortunately, that regeneration speed gradually surpassed the rate at which his skin burned under the sun, and eventually his skin no longer burned.

However, by the time he returned to the kingdom, only the vampires who had lived in the once-prosperous city had been exterminated by humans.

By the time he arrived, the former king’s head had already fallen, and the vampire paradise that had lasted for 1,800 years was destroyed in an instant.

Overcome with anger and fear, the magical power he had accumulated for 450 years since birth was released, and his talent for magic suddenly blossomed.

As a result, the army of several hundred thousand was reduced to piles of corpses within only a few moments.

Only after everything had ended did he finally regain his sense of self, but nothing remained there except corpses and ruins.

Incidentally, if that treatment had not been performed, he would have lost all of his senses within two more years and died from physical decline.

Even if everything had succeeded and his immortality had been removed by the ritual,

the disease that had been frozen by immortality would immediately progress, and he would die before making it through that very night.

However, due to the trauma of the kingdom’s destruction and witnessing the king being killed before his eyes,

he despises humans, who are his source of food, and when humans approach he rejects them, saying, “Don’t come closer.”

Sometimes, out of that fear, he kills approaching humans in the blink of an eye.

Even if someone were to withstand the attack and manage to touch him, they would be directly exposed to his magical power and would no longer be able to maintain a human form.

However, that trauma only applies to “living humans,” so it is possible that he may eventually overcome it with time.

When he is with beings that are not human, he sometimes shows a side like a timid child.

Although he himself does not realize it, he possesses extremely high combat ability. He is especially skilled in magical combat.

However, that does not mean he is weak in close combat. Despite his young and small body, he can easily crush an iron sphere about one meter in diameter.

When he is afflicted by extreme emotions, his magical power runs wild and he transforms into a form resembling a young man.

It is also said that, aside from rampage states, he may transform when he is mentally driven into a state where he can no longer fight.

However, his fighting style in that state is strangely unusual, moving in ways that seem unlike his usual self.

Incidentally, a tsukumogami resides in his hat,

and it suddenly moves, grows arms and legs, eats an absurd amount of food,

and behaves in ways that do not quite seem like a typical tsukumogami. According to the hat itself

“Miir? That child is… well… my partner!”

Whether that is true or not remains a mystery…
